The Atlantic Vs. 2013 Hurricane Season

By

2013 Hurricane Preparation The Atlantic Ocean is preparing itself for the upcoming 2013 hurricane season which the National Hurricane Center has officially deemed very active. Ever since Andrew, the state of Florida has taken hurricane preparations very seriously, especially with making sure all residents know the precautions (road closures, flooding, hurricane exit routes etc.)

The next names in line are Dorian, Erin, Fernand, Gabrielle, Humberto, Ingrid, Jerry, Karen, Lorenzo, Melissa, Nestor, Olga, Pablo, Rebekah, Sebastien, Tanya, Van and Wendy. According to Professor William Gray of Colorado University’s Department of Atmospheric Science, this season will have 18 named storms (tropical storm), 95 named storm days, nine hurricanes, 40 hurricane days, and nine major hurricane days.

Along with this information, residents of coastal towns can expect to see a lot of flooding and potential damages to their home. With a 72% chance of a major hurricane, be sure to prepare accordingly and in the event you need damage repair, there are plenty of companies that make sure they are ready for post-hurricane season.
